💡 You wouldn’t build a skyscraper on a weak foundation—so why build your life on one?

One of the most important installation steps in construction is setting the sole plate. This flat, foundational base supports heavy machinery, ensuring structural integrity, alignment, and long-term performance. During installation, it was the one phase we never rushed or questioned—because its strength was essential to the project's success.

Of course, Nuri the engineer will find a way to relate this to life. 🙄 But seriously, the soul plate matters just as much. It is the foundation of emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and resilience—the qualities that allow us to step back, assess, and handle life’s challenges with integrity.

In parenting, I liken this to teaching my kids how to strengthen their characters to handle situations rather than trying to control all the situations they might face.

Spending intentional time to strengthen our foundation through meditation and self-reflection is key to sustained growth. Biggie wasn’t wrong—more money brings more problems. But problems aren’t just burdens; they’re tests of character, opportunities to appreciate what we have, give generously, and unlock new levels of potential.

However, if our foundation is weak—if it lacks ethics, morals, and integrity—then the weight of success will expose the cracks. We’ll find ourselves looking for easy escapes: unhealthy addictions, rash decisions, and shortcuts that erode what we’ve built. It might hold up for a while, but under stress, the structure will crumble, capping any further growth.
